How can i get rid of redness and dry skin that is around my eye.?

Right above my eye lids there are red and rough dry skin. Every morning when i go to school you can see redness and its been like that for about a month. I been using new contacts but not sure if thats a problem. And i dont think its pink eye because it has to be on the eye. Any idea i can get rid of this because its starting to be embrassing walking about with this redness around the eye. Many thanks.|||Use a cold milk compress on your eyes for 15-20 minutes before you go to bed. There is also an ointment that works miracles...forgot what it was called, but it is perscribed by the doc.
