How to you treat a cut with a flap of skin?

I cut my finger while chopping onions, its kind of deep but not really. Now there is an awful flap of skin. It%26#039;s hanging of the side of my nail and pulsing painfully as I type. It bled for a while and now its white and tender.|||The best thing is to keep it exposed to clean air to dry out.

Just cover it when you are dealing with something which may get into the open wound. A simple plaster (band aid) will do that. Perhaps a rubber glove depending on what you are doing. Take the plaster or glove off as soon as you can after needing it.

Nature will take it%26#039;s course and the wound will scab over and the flap of skin will dry out.

You just have to let it take it%26#039;s course.|||alright, don%26#039;t put gauze over it, because it can cause the wound to heal to the gauze, and when you take it off, it can be very painful, gauze is strictly used to stop bleeding.

you use a telfa pad and some medical tape over it, change the dressing 3 times a day. telfa pads are like the things in bandaids, if the cut isn%26#039;t that big you could even just use a band-aid.

clean it out with saline or peroxide, notttt rubbing alcohol.

put some neosporine on it.|||just keep it covered..

you don%26#039;t want to get it infected.

put a very thick gauze over it.
