What are steps to lead to completely clear, acne-free skin?

I have some acne that is moderately bad, but not completely taking over my whole face. Obviously, I want to get rid of it.

What are some foods I should eat more and foods I should eat less?

Does milk make acne worse, because I consume a lot of that.

And are there any special/different home treatments that you have found to effectively work?

Thanks :)|||The tricky part about acne is that the problem can actually become worse if you overmedicate. That%26#039;s because acne medication can overdry the skin, causing a boost in your skin%26#039;s Sebum (oil) production. This results in...you guessed it - more acne.

So what%26#039;s the long term solution? Find gentler solutions or even natural acne cures that won%26#039;t shock your body into more breakouts. Here%26#039;s what I recommend:

- Use a glycerin based facewash. Glycerin is gentler and will balance the ph levels in your skin.

- For body acne, try using an antibacterial soap to slowly dry out the skin. If your skin gets too dry, switch to a moisterizing soap like Dove to counterbalance the effect.

- Wash your face only 2 times a day max and gently pat dry with a towel.

- Use a gentle face moisterizer if the glycerin based face wash drys you out too much.

- Eat almonds, fiber, drink lots of water and avoid excess sugar intake.

- If acne medication isn%26#039;t working or causing new breakouts, try applying egg whites to the pimples at night before bed. This natural remedy works great.

- One of my favorite natural skin conditioners is wearing an %26quot;oatmeal mask%26quot;. The oatmeal with smooth your skin while simultaneously absorb toxins and oils from your pores.

- Lemon juice also dries up pimples and kills any bacteria in the infection.

Best of Luck!|||Hmmm...I know what you%26#039;re going through. Well first limit your sugary and greasy foods such as, fast food, candy, chocolate, etc. Milk is not known to cause acne, mabye you should try drinking 2% if you are drinking whole milk. As for special home treatments you can try steaming/icing depending on how your skin reacts in hot/cold weather, juicing fruits and veggies instead of buying store-bought juice that has lots of unnatural sugar, and you can also try rubbing aloe vera on your face at night before bed.

Good Luck, Glad I could help!|||Well if you want healthy acne free skin it is a hard thing!

first you need to drink eight glasses of water a day, cut out suggary foods.

eat vegitables and fruit, they make your skin nice and bright!

milk and dairy is good but dont drink or eat too much, check out an online site that says how much you should have a day for your age or for your skin.

stay away from greasy, fattening, suggary and salty foods like pizza, chips, candy, fries that sort of thing, just treat yourself every once in awhile!

if it gets worse book an appointment with your dermotolgist he/she will give you a cream to help with your acne.

good luck, you can do it! :)|||We all know how an acne pimple or spot is formed. We are also aware of loads of products to treat these acne pimples. But all these do is treat the symptoms - the preparations have to be continually used to beat back acne.

What is really needed is an acne cure. The following review site offers three of the best acne cures:|||Visit the source, I%26#039;ve listed it%26#039;ll provide you with all your answers.

What is the best hormone pill that cleared up your skin?

Been getting a lot of acne than usual.

I%26#039;m thinking hormone pills could maybe help clear them up.|||Depends on the type. Are you female? Your name says Jimmy. If you%26#039;re a girl, birth control pills should help. Diane 35 is designed for acne, Yasmin is good too, and I think some other types work as well. See your doctor, there%26#039;s nothing over the counter you can get. If you%26#039;re male, I think it will have to be some other treatment, but again your doctor can help.|||Like the first answerer, it depends on your body and skin. Personally, I love what YAZ has done for me. Sometimes I will break out and a simple acne regime helps but for the most part, my skin has stayed clear. Talk to your doctor about which pill would be right for you!

How can I get rid of a serious rash/raw skin on my vagina and butt?

I was using monistat after I get done shaving to avoid the rash/ little red bumps not knowing that it can you can%26#039;t use it with a product containing hydrocortisone. I was using cortisone 10. Right now I%26#039;m very sore and really red like on the insides. Does anyone know what I could do to treat this, I%26#039;m too embaresed to go to the doctor. It hurts bad enough that I wanna cry each night. The only time it doesn%26#039;t hurt is when I%26#039;m taking a bath.|||Try a diaper rash cream. Thats what I use when I get irritated and it works. Desitin or it%26#039;s generic is best.|||Stop scratching it...or cut those nails!!!!!!|||USE SUDO CREAM-NAPPY RASH CREAM. USE A STRIMMER NEXT TIME YOU TRIM YOURSELF.|||If it%26#039;s serious, you should go to a doctor. I%26#039;m sure they%26#039;ve seen almost everything. Do not be embarrassed.

The embarrassment won%26#039;t last as long as the rash will and is less painful.|||the best thing its to NOT apply any medicine and wait a few days till the redness disapears|||Next time use %26#039; bikini zone%26#039;.

Sounds like you %26#039;burnt%26#039; yourself.

After you take a bath.....put on some Neosporan.|||You need to see a doctor as soon as you can for that.|||I am a male, but have almost always been the shaver of whatever needed shaving. I always used hair conditioner to shave actually, a new sharp razor (I use an old fashioned 2 blade Gillette). Stay away from any medications othe than maybe Gold Bond powder. Keep it dry as possible (any talcum powder will help), and give it two to three days. If not healed up - go to the Dr. Maybe an infection from the monistat. I know sometimes meds for infection can cause infection.|||Go see a doctor, please. Don%26#039;t be embarrassed. That is what he/she is there for.|||Go see you%26#039;re doctor and don%26#039;t be embarrassed that%26#039;s what he%26#039;s there for, it might be more dangerous to leave it untreated, you%26#039;re doctor will be able to prescribe the proper treatment for you|||I%26#039;m a guy, so I don%26#039;t know, could be a virus... but I wish you the best.. No worries, I have mono now, not so great.. Think of it as a challenge...|||Oh, from now on, please do not shave it. It will make your hair kinky afterwards. Besides, it will make you feel uneasy because once the hair start to grow, it will be itchy and bushy, too. Try to wash and dry it regularly. Also, forget about sweets and beef, chicken, eggs, cantaloupe and watermelon for 4 months to help in the healing process. Hairs do grow there to protect your skin from itchiness and wounds created by rubbing your two legs. The same case wth your armpit. But then, if you are used to it, well, you better go to an OB doctor. If you can manage to sleep without underwear, well that will help in the healing process, too. Because once the wound is exposed, the air will slowly dry up the open surface of your skin.

I hope this will help in the healing process.

Have a nice day :)

How good does a yellow tattoo show up on dark skin?

If someone has any links to any pics of tattoos with yellow on dark skin..that would be appreciated as well. Thanks|||It doesn%26#039;t show up very well at all. I am a tattoo artist who specializes in dark skin. The way a tattoo works is, it is under two layers of your skin, so depending on how dark your skin is is how your ink will show. Its like looking through tinted glass. The best color seem to be reds, blues, and greens some times purples and oranges. yellow and white are the least likely to show well after healing. It is recommended to get large bold designs so you can see them better, the smaller and more detailed, the harder it is going to be seeing it, especially on darker skin.|||It actually depends on the skin color and the type of yellow. I have a large tat on my belly of a butterfly containing yellow, unfortunately, the yellow pales next to my skin and the other more vibrant colors in the tat. You can check out a pic of my tat here:

http://www.pdxblackbook.com/elle

You have to register for free to see it up close, but you%26#039;ll get a pretty good idea.|||Yellow show up better on dark skin than it does on light skin...trust me, this I know!|||it wont be too bright but it will definatly show|||mine did not show very well|||It looks great when it is first done but after it heals and a couple of months it will fade and you will hardly be able to tell where it%26#039;s at. i have a friend whom isdark skined and he had to go back and have it redone. i hope this helps.|||Ask the artist that is putting the tattoo on you - I saw a dark skinned girl with a tat of Tweety Bird and it looked great, the yellow was awesome on her skin - but I%26#039;ve seen other dark skinned people and the yellow seems to disappear.|||im not sure|||it should be OK.|||all of my tats seem to yellow in them, and I consider myself to be very tan. I think yellow stands out more on my skin then alot of my other colors. maybe you should go to an artist and see what they think. there opinion is the best.|||are you crazy.. light color tattoos show up great..expecially on dark skinned people.

What is a good laundry detergent to use for sensitive skin...?

or allergies that is also biodegradable?|||I have 2 small children (ages 1 and 3) and I really like All Free and Clear... I also add 1 C of baking soda to the wash water to remove any soap residue left in the clothing.. It also deodorizes clothes and allows you to use LESS detergent which might be the problem with your sensitivity issues.. good luck|||wash clothes with soap and then rewash without soap.|||I have always been told the best is Lux Soap Flakes - it is so gentle - the hospital where I had my babies said they use it to wash the little singlets and wraps for the babies as it is so gentle for sensitive skin. It is virtually a simple, scent free, basic soft soap flake - safe for you, and the environment. It is readily available in Australia - don%26#039;t know where you live but there should be a similar product available. Sometimes you can buy them at your organic grocercy store or even in the baby section of your local store.|||Dreft|||Go with Dreft or Ivory Soap Flakes.|||Dreft is for washing baby clothes and the stuff is awesome. My son had very sensitive skin as a baby and it worked wonders. its non hypoallergenic and all that.|||all clean and clear and arm and hammer|||I too have very sensitive skin. It is not fun to break out form wearing our %26quot;clean%26quot; clothes or to itch all of the time. I have found %26quot;All Free and Clear%26quot; to be a wonderful product. I don%26#039;t itch anymore and all of the rashes and welts are gone that I battled for years prior to using this product.|||From regular supermarkets or dept store like Target, try ALL or you can also go to a natural organic market and ask a store clerk.|||you can wash the closes with every laundry detergent just insted of using fabric softener use vinigar , this is a neutraliser for the detergent.|||You are using too much detergent and it doesn%26#039;t rinse out well in the rinse cycle. If that doesn%26#039;t work, use Ivory Snow.

Is a tummy tuck the only way to fix loose skin after weight loss from pregnancy?

Unfortunately, yes. When it%26#039;s the skin and not fat, there is no way to tighten it up enough to get it back to where it was without surgery. Sorry. I%26#039;m in the same boat myself and hate it. :(|||depending on the skin.....there are many new ways to help the skin....talk to a plastic surgeon. there%26#039;s a laser treatment that has no recovery time. there%26#039;s also a new one it%26#039;s lipo and laser. and can work amazing. as well some woman can change their diet and excersize and get amazing results. it all depends on how active you were in the past and such. and results can take much longer as well.|||From my understanding, Yes...If you have serious stretch marks on your stomach, all the sit-ups or crunches in the world would not help.

I should know, my stomach is soo loose with plenty stretch marks on it.|||No, depending on your genetics. Some women just need to exercise, others don%26#039;t need to do anything at all, some can%26#039;t get rid of it no matter what.

What to put behind my babies knees to stop the skin problem?

My baby is 5 months and he continues to have this little skin problem behin his right knee only. I%26#039;v been using johnsons lotion but it hasnt been working. Any suggestions?|||Is it from the skin rubbing together? I use baby oil in the creases of my kids when they were babies. I used to use it under their necks, under their arms and knees to stop it from drying out.

I just use to put a bit on a cottonball and just wipe the area after a bath.

Sorbelene cream is also really good for dry skin or skin rashes/problems. Johnson and johnson make a baby one.|||ASK THE DOCTOR!! We are not medically qualified to advise anything without even seeing the baby..get him to the surgery!|||Can you describe the problem? Dry skin? Rash? Might help us make suggestions. I%26#039;ll check back in a few minutes...|||It depends what the problem is! If your baby has dry skin then I would suggest Aquaphor or Eucerin cream. You really don%26#039;t want to use regular lotion as these will probably only make it worse and you definitely don%26#039;t want to use baby oil. Stick with better suited products such as the ones I mentioned above. On the other hand if your baby has a rash, such as one caused by heat, I would suggest cornstarch or a medicated powder (gold bond for babies). These powders tend to work way better than regular baby powder.

This has all worked on my son who is now 9 months. All the products above are perfectly fine for infants and were recommended by my Pediatrician.|||It could be eczema, my son has it and gets it on his back, groin, behind his knees, armpits and elbows. I use Palmer%26#039;s cocoa butter formula or a moisture therapy cream by Avon, Aveeno and ego stuff is pretty good to. But another good idea is getting the skin complaint diagnosed just in case you are putting the wrong thing on it. I found that no Johnson%26#039;s products were any good for my kids, I can%26#039;t use anything made by Johnson%26#039;s because it makes their eczema worse. But it depends on the child.

Hope that helps.|||Try Aquaphor, it%26#039;s worked wonders for our babies.

How to get of the slight yellow tint in my skin?

A lot of people say that Chinese don%26#039;t have any yellow in their skin, whether it be because they don%26#039;t look closely, the Chinese person is tan, or because they don%26#039;t want to be racist.

Regardless, I have a slight yellow tint in my skin. I%26#039;m pretty pale, so it%26#039;s very clear. What can I do to get rid of this?

Thanks!|||Unfortunately theres nothing you can do, it sounds like you just have a naturally olive skin tone - my skins pretty yellow too ;(

You could dye your hair to compliment your skintone, any of these colorus will compliment you

* Gold

* Honey

* Caramel

* Copper

* Red

* Mahogany

* Strawberry blonde

* Chocolate

* Ginger

* Orange based reds

* Dark browns

* Rust

Clothes wise, you should follow these tips:

A warm wardrobe should be filled with more than just browns and beiges. Your whites are ivory or cream: pure white is an absolute killer against your skin tone and hair.

Your greens are moss, bronze and olive. Blues can look cheap on you (unless you have blue eyes). Better bets will be the aquas, turquoise tones and teal blues.

Keep your yellows creamy or golden and wear them with anything you consider too harsh on its own, such as black or navy. Avoid greys in favour of camel, golden brown and rust as good investment neutrals. Don%26#039;t forget tomato red, even if your hair is red!

Are there any skin bleaches that work as quickly as hair bleach?

Hahaha sounds like an idiotic question to me.|||sounds dangerous.

What is the best moisturiser to use for dry, sensitive skin?

I%26#039;ve recently started using nuetrogena pure glow cleansing cushions for dry skin and think they work really well for me and leave my skin looking great, but i find my skin feels taut afterwards, i need a good moisturiser, what could you reccommend? xx|||Here are a few suggestions:

1) LUSH%26#039;s Dream Cream/Charity Pot. I%26#039;ve heard nothing but good things about them. There are a few others so you can always pop into a store and ask them about it. A little goes a long way I%26#039;ve found with their products especially being all natural etc.

2) Johnson%26#039;s Baby Oil. Cheap and very effective.

3) Palmers Cocoa Butter range. Again affordable and very effective.

4) Nivea body lotion. I loved using this.

5) Dove body lotion

6) Boots own brand

7) Pure oil e.g. almond or coconut oil. You can get them easily and they leave you moisturised and smelling great.

Now it may seem like I%26#039;ve suggested a lot of products but these are the ones I%26#039;ve used and trust. I like to mix my products once in a while and these are the products I always go back to. Hope that helps!|||vaseline intensive care. its also good if you have sensitive skin|||You need a cream that Hydrates %26amp; Replenishes

Real Beauty Begins With Healthy Skin

The skin is the first line of defense and our face to the world. But too often, we don鈥檛 protect and nourish it as we should.

There鈥檚 nothing more beautiful than healthy skin. How many times have you wished that your skin still felt well-toned and had a healthy glow like years ago? The truth is that over time, our skin can become dull and dry.

Every day, every hour, every minute, our skin feels the effects of the sun, wind, cold, humidity, and dryness. If the skin isn鈥檛 protected against the abuses of the elements, the result is visible damage and signs of aging. When it comes to maintaining beautiful skin, nothing compares to a combination of good nutrition and the regular application of a quality skin cream.

I know of a skin Perfecting Cream that contains a specially prepared milk protein isolate. Two other important ingredients work to beautify your skin:

Emu oil hydrates and moisturizes the skin.

Sodium PCA is a naturally-occurring component of human skin that is thought to be responsible for an ability to trap moisture.

Together, the milk protein isolate, Emu oil, and Sodium PCA work to help shield your skin from the effects of the environment.

Traditional moisturizers are often pleasant to use but do not really moisturize the skin at all. Instead they consist of a thin greasy film that attempts to hold moisture in.

On the other hand, this Skin Perfecting Cream works below the surface to help maintain healthy-looking skin. Over time, skin will look softer and healthier and feel naturally moisturized.

The Skin Perfecting Cream I am recommending is most effective when used daily. In addition a tightening, lifting sensation will be experienced.

How do i prevent myslef from getting moles on my skin?

Hey.

From time to time i get new moles on my skin, why do they occur and how do i stop them from occuring?|||Do not tan. Wear at least 30 SPF sunblock all the time. Its the only way. I used to be a tanning fanatic, until I had a mole removed and it turned out to be pre skin cancer. So, now Im a freak about sunscreen. Id rather be pale and around than six feet under and tan.|||I don%26#039;t think you can prevent them from occurring. You can have them removed by a dermatologist, but they will return.

I think moles are hereditary.

What is the best foundation to use for an olive skin tone?

Either way, stay away from anything that is mostly chemicals and increase the water you drink.|||Just don%26#039;t use SPF chapstick anymore. Because Carmex isn%26#039;t helping, leads me to believe that it might not be the SPF, but maybe beeswax (the wax used in most chapsticks). 1) just stay with the vaseline

2) use Softlips-Vanilla (works for me, it doesn%26#039;t have beeswax).

As for right now, you could try this...

1) break open a Vitamin E capsule and apply it to your lips

2) after 30 minutes, use an ice cube to wash away the E-oil

Some skin scratched off my nose and it left a red spot. How do I remove this and repair the skin?

Basically the story goes like this: I was fixing the sink and I when I got up I hit my nose on the corner of the cabinet. I got up in an akward manner and managed to scrape some skin off my nose. I proceeded to put Neosporin on it for 5 days straight, and now I%26#039;m using aloe vera and Vitamin E. Where was the start of different color of eyes, hair, skin?

What was the start when humans first had different color of hair, skin and eyes.? Was it climate change? If it was climate change what was the deal of the eyes changing to climate.

How can brown be so dominate?

I do believe in theories of science, To Evolution of animals, plants and humans, to climate change of earth, and to wondrous of space.|||From what I read, homosapiens originally had black eyes, black hair, and dark skin. (Those who came from Africa.)

But as humans migrated north to places with less sun, the need for melanin decreased and the body started producing less, and over generations, less melanin and recessive genetic blips caused light hair/eyes/etc.

Brown eyes are a dominant gene. Not sure why, I think more melanin is more dominant in genes, or maybe just because it was the original eye color.

Hahahaha. Wrong category to ask, dude. xD Everyone here is a fourteen/fifteen ditz.

Well, I%26#039;m fourteen. But still.|||Based on the out of Africa theory, Australopithecus (Ape-Man) was the first, and it had the simple similar genotypical phenotypes that the Negr-oid sub-species and Mongoloid sub-species share.

The evolutionary ladder: Australopithecus, Negr-oid, Mongoloid, and thus far the final and youngest sentient sub-species in evolution, the Caucasoid.

Keep in mind, to clarify what paper octopi was trying to get across. The older and lower down the evolutionary chain the gene, the more dominant. This is due to the fact that as identical genes are doubled together they virtually double their staying power. And yes, some fairly new genes like blue eyes can be dominant to an older gene depending on certain variabilities. And it%26#039;s natural selection, as with for example the Caucasoid, these characteristics and genotypical phenotypes have been favoured, above all intelligence, beauty, lightness, and brightness (indicating health), brawn itself not necessarily, but beauty, sameness/likeness and perfection. The survival and proliferation of ones own genes through procreation (self-preservation and continuity).

Remember, it is not just a matter of skin colour, but skeletal/body shape, skull density and shape, cranial capacity, intelligence, character etc. based on varying racial/sub-species neurological-regional-development (i.e. the Frontal Lobe which dictates morality and analytical reasoning, emotion, logic and temperament), enzymology, hormonal and separate evolution (i.e. 40,000 years separation from the first sub-species to the final evolution).

Use light weights for upper body and leg squats and lunges for legs also you can do side bends for waist .

There are lots to see on utube and the net.|||Exercise will simply tone the muscles beneath the skin; though some skin is attached to muscles, not many are.

Other than cosmetic surgery, which IMHO is pretty much a drastic last resort, start even some light exercise to tone those muscles, plus take good care of your skin (using moisturizers and sunscreen, since dry and/or tanned (better known as BURNT) skin %26#039;ages%26#039; quicker.|||Maybe curl ups or stomach exercises. How do you get black hair dye off of your skin?

I have a couple of spots of black hair dye on my face and shoulder. I tried soap and water but it will not come off. Is there anything else that might do the trick?? thank you for your help!|||dye removes dye......I only know this because I went to school for cosmetology. Put a little dye on a cotton ball and gently rub the dye off...then use soap and water.|||I run into the same problem - it will wear off with time. Try scrubbing really hard with soap.

One thing I find works when dying your hair - put masking tape on the rims of your ear - that%26#039;s one area that always seems to get dyed in error.

Another thing they suggest is putting some kind of moisturizer along your hairline prior to dying your hair. Supposedly it will help reduce any misplaced dye.

For the parts of your hair that come closest to flesh, I find using an old toothbrush to apply the dye can help prevent the dye from getting onto skin. (It works well for shorter hair, at least.)

Finally, when you rinse the dye out, bend forward in the shower, so the dye rinsing out of your hair goes right to the ground. That will keep it from hitting most other body parts.|||use sugar and make a paste.rub gently on those areas.|||Try making a paste of OxyClean and hot water, apply it to the area, wait a bit and then scrub. How do copper bracelets work for arthritis, and does your skin absorb the copper?

A friend is wearing a copper bracelet, which he says helps his arthritis. I think this is fine, but I wonder how much copper his skin is absorbing, and is there a toxic effect in the long term?

It turns his wrist a bit green.

Also, how does this idea work? Is there a chemical reaction in the body? Or, if it%26#039;s all in your mind, isn%26#039;t it still effective since the pain is gone, for whatever reason?|||We don%26#039;t really know...and to be honest we have little clinical evidence to say that they have any effect whatsoever. However I%26#039;ll outline some of the work done:

A single study in 1976 looked into this and determined that a significant number of people using the copper bracelets felt a positive effect on their condition vs wearing a placebo bracelet made of aluminum. They also found that over 50 days a copper bracelet worn around the wrist lost about 90 mg.

A 1983 study in animal models showed that arthritic rats would preferentially increase their intake of a solution of Copper Salicylates, suggesting that it had an analgesic effect on condition. The same team looked at the potential for copper to form ligands with the contents of human sweat and to permeate through the skin and found that it was plausible in an animal model.

It appears then that their use might be plausible. I don%26#039;t think there would be any toxic side effects to their use - Wilson%26#039;s disease is a disease of copper metabolism and there is no chance that the copper from these bracelets could lead to anything like that.|||Gold bracelets are more useful. Just adjust.|||I just started tanning about 3 weeks ago now and i have very pale skin and i didn%26#039;t find i was itchy until my 3rd visit... Since you already have dark hair, a nice plum colour would suit you too for holidays.|||try a really glossy clear, with maybe just a little glitter in it.|||Quite frankly, those are great features to work with. I would say a pretty nude in the daytime, and sizzliing hot red at night!|||red..

a peachy pink color.

or just clear gloss|||You can try on all lighter shades or pinks and browns|||A BEAUTIFUL BROWN DEEP RED FOR YOUR SKIN TYPE THE KIND EVA LONGORIA WEARS BEAUTIFUL!|||light pinks|||nude or very light pink|||I have alabaster skin too. A light pinky color with a nice gloss.|||for you i think that light natural colors, of light pinks and peaches will do very well|||A good coral or salmon would be nice. Red is fabulous and pink is nice, but take care to stay away from any lip color that is too blue/purply or too brazenly bright.|||a cherry red color would look awesome!|||Probably a good lipstick would be a pinkish color for your skin color.|||I would suggest a mutual lip color since your coloring is so striking. Stick with a color close to your natural lip shade. Mac has a shade called Syrup that comes to mind. I think it would look great on you.|||honey, i envy you.....that sounds like a beautiful combination, especially with your green eyes.

i think a very neutral lipstick would look great !!!!!!! like NUDE, oh so pretty. as far as holiday colors i think a deep red. but for an everyday color stick with the nude. it will bring out the green eyes. you also should consider matching to the clothes that you wear, just for something a little different.

in the 60%26#039;s, we wore nude colors and black eyeliner and since retro is in style right now, nude would be good !!!!!

go ahead and try it........take a chance - live on the edge.

hope this helps and merry christmas and happy holidays to you.|||your skin color lipstick will do I think

What are the skin-sores my kitten is giving me?

Last week, on a tight budget, we took our kitten to the vet. She had earmites. We%26#039;ve been treating her with drops. Now within the past few days, both of us have noticed that we are developing circular sores on our arms, chest, and one on my back. they are circular and the skin in the middle of them is somewhat scaley. Does anyone know what this could be or if(hopefully) it could be the earmites? Please help me!|||it sound like ring worm|||It does sound like ringworm which is not a worm but a fungal skin infection and its very common in kittens. Get kitty to the vet for treatment ASAP. There are both prescription and over-the-counter treatments for humans, but if you have more than one little patch, go see your doctor. It is highly contagious to other cats and dogs as well as humans, so do jump on it quickly.|||Ringworm. It%26#039;s not a worm, it%26#039;s a fungus under the skin that does this.

It%26#039;s easily treated. The cat will get better in a month with treatment, but humans take two months.

Go down to the pharmacy or a drugstore like Walgreens, and get yourself a tube of Miconazole or Monistat 3, it has the chemical you need in it to get rid of the fungus. Apply some of the cream three times a day on the bare area, and put a band aid over your rings after you put the cream on it.

The Monistat 3 is the standard type, Miconazole is the generic, so either one will work. It%26#039;s a 4% solution. Usually the vet gives a 2% solution which is weaker, but a 4% one works on cats just fine.

I went through that last August. It clears up with treatment, don%26#039;t worry.|||It sounds like ringworm. To be on the safe side you see what a Doctor would say.|||it sounds like ring worm go to the doctor|||ringworm. Very treatable. BTW... it%26#039;s not really a worm.. it%26#039;s a fungus, like athlete%26#039;s foot.

Okay, maybe doctors wouldn%26#039;t advise this, but it worked for me.

Bleach in a small cup, full strength. Use a cutip to dip into the bleach and apply to the ringworm. Do it 2 or 3 times a day. Should kill the ringworm pretty fast. Try to avoid getting bleach on your skin, JUST on the ringworm. Using a cutip helps to be precise.

Iodine can also kill ringworm, but I%26#039;ve had better luck with bleach.

I wouldn%26#039;t do that for the cat, just you guys. Let the vet take care of the cat.

If your sores look anything like this, then it%26#039;s definitely ringworm..

http://boingboing.net/Images/kidsore.jpg|||yes like the thers said ringworm which you can treat yourself by using athletes foot cream although always a good optionfor a doctor or pharmasist to confirm. Also get your cat to the vet.|||does it itch? if so, it%26#039;s ring worm. you need an antifungal cream, go to the doc or see a pharmacist. kitty will need creams too, ask her vet what to do (a call will suffice).

Acne and oily skin: Can anybody actually get rid of it?

I%26#039;m a 24yr old male and I%26#039;ve been trying to get rid of acne, an oily face, zits, and all, but I%26#039;ve had no success. I%26#039;ve been to a dermatologist a couple times over the years, but I don%26#039;t think its helping. They give me the same cream and pills each time, which I don%26#039;t work at all, in fact I think it makes it worse.

Any hidden secrets or home remedies anyone knows of?

|||Cleanse daily, avoid washing away natural oils with soaps or washes, this causes skin to produce more oil than normal which clogs pores. I HIGHLY recommend Oil Cleansing Method (OCM), it doesn%26#039;t strip away natural oils so is healthy, reduces acne and heals scars. Mix half Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) to moisturize and half Castor Oil (CO) to cleanse, change mix as your skin changes, also try adding tea tree oil as it%26#039;s antibacterial. Massage mix into your face, then put a hot face cloth onto your face for at least 1 minute, this opens up pores letting the oil cleanse. Wipe off oil, any trace amounts of oil are absorbed so skin won%26#039;t be greasy. http://www.moogoo.com.au/category13_1.ht鈥?/a> Have your own face cloth and towel, keep them clean and dry to avoid bacteria growth which can cause spots. Moisturize daily, as long as it%26#039;s not greasy it won%26#039;t cause spots, but don%26#039;t be scared to use oils such as Bio Oil which will heal scars too, remember oil is actually good for your skin.

I personally use OCM on my skin, I suffer from acne, flaking skin and oily skin, the flaking skin stopped from day one using OCM, a week later I noticed my normally super-oily nose was as dry and soft as a babies backside, and after a short time using it my spots stopped and it healed up the scars I had on my chin from hormonal break-outs. I%26#039;ve known people with seriously bad acne use this and it works perfectly for them too even after years of all the other products out there not helping.

Once a week steam to open pores by putting your head under a towel over a bowl of hot water, but don%26#039;t do this during breakouts as it stimulates blood flow and oil glands which can make things worse. Exfoliate weekly to scrub off dead skin, use something with rounded beads as things such as apricot kernels have sharp edges which cause small cuts leading to spots. Another way to exfoliate is cosmetic vinegar which also promotes circulation, regulates skins pH and is antiseptic. Mix 500ml of apple cider vinegar, 3ml lavender essential oil, 3ml rosemary essential oil, 2ml rosewood essential oil, and 2 tablespoons glycerine. Place into a glass bottle, use as cleanser by adding 1 tablespoon vinegar to 1 cup of water. Try masks too, they are easy to make and there are many recipes online, see Make Your Own Cosmetics http://www.makeyourcosmetics.com or Pioneer Thinking http://www.pioneerthinking.com try this mask;

Strawberry acne mask;

Ingredients: 陆 cup fresh strawberries, 1 egg white, 2 teaspoons of honey.

Mix together ingredients until smooth using a blender or a fork. To use spread over face and leave for 15 minutes, rinse off with cool water and pat dry. This one is good as strawberries are rich in salicylic acid which is commonly used in acne treatments, honey is also antibacterial.

Keep yourself healthy, diet is a big factor so make sure to get a healthy diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables as well as a lot of water, but avoid salty foods as iodine aggravates acne, try also a good multivitamin - vitamins A, B6, zinc and chromium help to clean up acne. Get plenty of exercise, sleep and stay stress-free. Pay particular attention to your skin during harsh weather when it is more prone to damage, also avoid agrivation from the sun by using plenty of sunscreen.|||No, there is no cure for acne, all we can do is try to keep it under control. Okay, i don%26#039;t usually recommend proactiv, but i think in your case it would help a lot. See the thing with proactiv is once you start using it, you absolutely cannot stop. It%26#039;s like crack for your skin, but it does work. If you use it day and night and dont miss a day, then you will have perfect skin, but the second you stop then your skin is like ten times worse than when you started, and it does run a little on the expensive side. But if you really hate having all that crap on your face, then i would say try it, but only if your going to commit to it.|||pro-active always helps. or just keep it clean and wash it throughout the day. and maybe changing your diet, if you eat a lot of bad, fatty, greasy foods, that could be one reason. my sisters boyfriend, who is in his twenties, has severe acne, and it runs in his family, just in case you know its none of the other reasons, it might me in your family.|||Acne affects about 85 percent of the population at some time in their life and is the most common skin disease treated by dermatologists. Most teens get the type of acne called acne vulgaris, which can appear on the face, neck, shoulders, back and chest.

Most doctors and dermatologists say that acne is not related to diet, but there is indeed a link--and a strong one at that. Acne clears up when you follow a no-grain diet.

Why is a no-grain diet beneficial for acne?

Eating refined carbohydrates and sugar leads to a surge of insulin and an insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1 in your body. This can lead to an excess of male hormones, which cause pores in the skin to secrete sebum, a greasy substance that attracts acne-promoting bacteria. Additionally, IGF-1 causes skin cells known as keratinocytes to multiply, a process that is associated with acne.

Some say acne is a disease of Western civilization because studies have found that the condition is virtually nonexistent in non-westernized societies, where refined carbohydrates and sugar are rarely eaten. For instance, in one study that looked at acne cases in islanders of Papua New Guinea and hunter-gatherers of Paraguay, no acne cases were found in either group. The findings, which are in-line with many other studies, make a strong case for the significant role of environmental factors, such as diet, in acne.

Limiting grains is an integral step toward optimizing your health. The more we study the influence of grains, and their secondary consequences on insulin, the more we will find that their pervasive influences touch nearly every aspect of our health.

Why do peoples skin sag when they get old?

It seems to me that this is a really big problem for old people, because it makes them look terrible. Of course, it will happen to all of us who get old, so we are all in the same boat. How can we stop this? Do you think it%26#039;s possible? Why does it happen?|||As your get older your skin loses it%26#039;s elasticity. It doesn%26#039;t spring back. It%26#039;s a lack of the certain proteins etc that help it spring back.

Do you think if it could be stopped then it would have already? People spend so much money on anti-wrinkle creams.|||There are two causes: intrinsic and extrinsic. The intrinsic cause is simply the aging process, with %26quot;wear and tear%26quot; on the elastin in the dermis. When the elastin finally wears out, the skin will not spring back like it used to. The extrinsic is due to external factors, mostly ultraviolet light. This is the part of the equation over which you have control. Try to avoid sunlight and tanning parlors by avoiding the light or wearing a good sunblock (it%26#039;s the UVA rays that penetrate deeply enough to fracture the elastin.) Retinoid products, such as Retin A, have been shown to cause the body to manufacture new collagen in the dermis, so that it might thicken up a bit, but it does not cause new elastin to be produced, so that the springiness of the skin is not corrected. Similarly, micropeels and chemical peels and any other chemical that you might have heard of do not cause new elastin to be produced.|||Collogen failure.
