What is a good tanning lotion for someone with fair skin and freckles?

I have a lot of freckles and I don%26#039;t tan easily but when I go to Hawaii I want to come back with an awesome tan. I thought about going to a tanning bed but I decided not to. So what%26#039;s a good tanning lotion and how do i use it so I don%26#039;t get burnt. Doesn%26#039;t give an allergic reaction that most of the cheaper brands do. Don%26#039;t be put off by that though - it%26#039;s not expensive. And instead of orange you turn out brown which is perfect.
