Explain why the skin of the frog makes it a good indicator species?

If you want to determine the health of local ecosystem.|||It is sensitive to variations in its environment. It is a simple structure and they multiply rapidly. In the tad pole stage they can be checked for gross mutations. and the environment it lives in is easily changed.|||The skin is very permeable to substances in the environment. So if the air or water is polluted, the frog has little protection against it. This means the frog population may be affected sooner than other species.

Also, since frogs multiply rapidly, they should be readily found in the environment, and in sufficient numbers to produce a valid result.
