How do I sterilize laundry of a family memeber with skin staph to prevent spreading to other family members?

My sister is staying with us and has just started antibiotic treatment for boils due to staph infection. I want to ensure that the rest of my family doesn%26#039;t get it. Please help.|||Avoid sharing personal items such as towels, washcloths, razors, clothing, or uniforms that may have had contact with the infected wound or bandage. Wash sheets, towels, and clothes that become soiled with water and laundry detergent. Drying clothes in a hot dryer, rather than air-drying, also helps kill bacteria in clothes. If it makes you feel better run a cycle in your wash with bleach after washing her clothes.|||boil it for at least half an hour|||Put lysol in the wash. It%26#039;s what they use in industrial settings to prevent infections.|||Many years ago my brother had this. My Mom was told to wash his clothes and bedding, towels etc; seperately and put Dettol disinfectent in the water. Its very important to keep his or her stuff seperate. I think Lysol spray would be helpfull on hard surfaces ,such as the telephone, doorknobs, that sort of thing. Good luck.|||Wash seperately and then wash out your washer with bleach or something.|||One of the best all around sanitizing agents is Clorox. We lives in Ecuador 12 yrs. and we used Clorox with out soap to wash our veggies. It is the same as the chlorine in your drinking water. good luck|||Just wash it separately, shouldn%26#039;t cause any harm, as long as its clean your fine. we all have staph normally on our bodies.....so just wash separately preferably in hot water if the fabric can be washed in hot water and dry separately as well and your good to go!|||Miss %26quot;cshell442%26quot; is on the money. Linens don%26#039;t require special sterilization. Follow her advice and wash hands well after handling any linens used by your sister.|||everybody has steph on their skin, it will only cause an infection if it gets into an open area. You need to just practice good handwashing teqhnices|||Wash her clothes separately and in the warmest temp acceptable for the garment. Bleach will kill staph as well.|||lots of lysol spray on surfaces. you can add liquid lysol to your laundry. use bleach on white loads. wash your hands and body with anti-bacterial soap.
