I have sensative skin (although never had a bad experience with eyeshadow except for cargo mascara-that burned the crap out of my eyes badly). I was looking into make-up like urban decay, mac, perscriptives, clinque. I have used maybelline and covergirl before.
Are these make-up brands good for sensative skin?|||I know 2 ladies that have sensitive skin and use Clinque with no problem.|||anything that is oil free|||It all comes down to ingredients. Usually the less chemical concoctions in the make-up the better for sensitive skin. Certain things are more irritating than others. Mineral oil causes trouble for some, lanolin for others (ingredients like lanolin is from animals too si people with allergies to animals often will have trouble with any ingredient that comes from animals)
I recommend Aveda or Arbonne...both of which can be bought online. Aveda has some stores where you can go to try stuff but they are not that common and often too far for many to drive to. However some salons do carry the Aveda line and may be closer. Arbonne can be bought online but is sold through consultants, like tupperware. They will assign you a random consultant but finding one on your own can open the door to being able to sample a lot of the products.
Another thing to try in making a change is to do one thing at a time and if possible cut the rest out. So say if there is a problem you will know what product did it and if you change your whole line at once you will not know if it is all of it or maybe just one item.
You need also look at your skin care moisture cream and foundations as well as even shampoos and conditioners since they run on your face daily when showering when it comes to looking at all the products that may cause your sensitive skin issues.
I know things can get expensive but I have found that cheaper is cheaper. And that will generally mean they use the cheapest ingredients than can to make their product. Of the brands you listed I would look at Clinque.
goo-luck!
