Has your child ever gotten a lump under the skin from a chicken pox vaccination shot?

Our daughter had her chicken pox vaccination just over a week ago and we noticed a small lump under the skin where the injection was. We called the doctor%26#039;s office and they said that 15% of children will experience stiffness (among other things) after receiving a shot.

I%26#039;m wondering if anyone else has had this occur with their child since I don%26#039;t believe a lump is the same as stiffness.|||My daughter never got a lump with the chicken pox shot, but she has gotten lumps with some of the others. Mainly the DTAP vaccine. It%26#039;s completely normal, and the lump usually disappears a few days after it shows up.|||My son has gotten a lump from a few different vaccinations, I don%26#039;t remember if chicken pox was one of them. Try taking a warm washcloth and pressing down on the lump lightly a couple times a day, it should get better by the time the day is over.
