What could cause a child to have really pale, yellowy skin and dark eyes?

It%26#039;s not my child, but I am concerned. This girl is 3 years old and her skin is really really pale, almost yellow, it actually makes me feel sick to look at her, she looks so awful. She has really dark rings around her eyes and she seems quite tired a lot. What could cause this? Someone suggested it could be kidney disease or something but is that rather extreme?|||Honestly - this sounds like it could be extremely serious. I would suspect liver disease before kidney disease but really nothing good. You are right to be concerned. If you suspect that the child is not receiving treatment then it is not unreasonable to take this to the authorities.|||Anemia, fatigue, lots of things, the girl needs a doctor and if she is not getting any medical attention due to the parents not caring, then....get social services involved (depending on where you live).|||Yellow.. jaundice.. liver difficulites..


If you don%26#039;t know the parents to ask, then report the child to authorities if she looks that bad.|||better ask a doctor!
