If you eat too many carrots could it turn your skin orange-ish?

Yes.

But you would have to eat A LOT.

I drink a litre of carrot juice a day and have not yet turned orange.

But I have seen someone who drinks a lot more carrot juice per day (than me) turn a orangy tinge. Well just the palms of his hands, not his whole body.

There is no harm in it.

You just stop consuming carrots until you return to your normal colour.

.|||Yes,

but you need a lot.

Carotene can turn your skin slightly orange and carotene is also an ingredient in many suntan lotions.

A true story and a hit movie%26quot;Black Like Me%26quot;( a must read) is about a man who changed his skin color to black by using Oxsoralen

( I also believe he took high doses of carotene although it doesn%26#039;t mention it in this article).

It%26#039;s actually very interesting.|||yes. personal experience. had a friend who%26#039;s Mom drank well a whole lot of fresh carrot juice every day. at some point she noticed her hands were orangeish, she went to Doc. - Doc told her to reduce the amount of carrot juice and the condition would right itself. she did %26amp; it did.

a few yrs later another friend fasted on carrot juice %26amp; her skin also went orange til she finished her fast. saw these things with my own eyes. no kidding.|||Yes. When my grandma was pregnant with my dad she craved carrots. And she did actually turn orange. the pictures are funny :)|||Actually it can.
